This non-exempt role demands physical endurance, as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds is required. Flexibility in the work schedule is also essential, with hours sometimes extending beyond standard business times, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed. The position also supports other functions within HR or Employee Services as requested, contributing to a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Candidates for this role should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in corporate, food service, or hospitality environments preferred. Experience in baking, barista work, or line cooking is beneficial, as is any administrative or front desk management background. Job Duties
- Provide support for on-premises food services locations and functions
- responsible for sanitizing areas through the safe use of cleaning agents and chemicals
- replenish drip coffee stations, condiments, beverages, salad bar, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness
- greet employees and take customer orders efficiently
- serve and say goodbye politely to customers to keep service moving
- handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- operate food service equipment safely and responsibly
- collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
- assist in maintaining food prices, inventory management, and liaise with vendors
- monitor environment and employees to provide attentive service
- perform regular audits and report equipment issues
- ensure proper presentation, quality control, and adherence to health standards
- maintain proper attire and hygiene per health regulations
- complete food safety and allergen training
- coordinate with Tech Support or Buildings and Grounds as needed
- train and/or be licensed to operate equipment such as lifts and corporate vehicles
- provide backup for HR or Employee Services functions
- perform other duties as assigned
