Hyatt has been recognized as a Great Place to Work in the U.S. for thirteen consecutive years, reflecting its dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and empowering work environment where employees can bring their whole selves to work every day.
The Grand Hyatt Seattle is excited to introduce Elliott's Café, its newest addition to the Food & Beverage offerings. Elliott's Café provides guests with a relaxed and refined breakfast experience, serving thoughtful and simple classics designed for ease and approachability. Whether guests are seeking a quick, high-quality morning meal or a comfortable place to enjoy coffee while lingering in the lobby, Elliott's Café offers an inviting atmosphere tailored to enhance the start of the day.
We are currently seeking a Barista to join Elliott's Café as it opens. This role is critical in creating exceptional guest experiences by delivering attentive service and preparing high-quality beverage and food offerings quickly and efficiently. The Barista will be responsible for fostering a warm welcome, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and encouraging guests to connect and relax. This exciting position offers an hourly rate ranging from $22.58 to $23.03, with the starting rate at $22.58. Long-term Baristas with Hyatt for four or more years are eligible for the higher established rate of $23.03 per hour. Additionally, an 18% service charge applied to orders is fully retained by Baristas, allowing the opportunity to earn additional gratuities voluntarily given by guests.
Working at Grand Hyatt Seattle means access to comprehensive benefits and perks that support employees personally and professionally. From medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their dependents, to retirement plans and paid time off, Hyatt empowers its colleagues to thrive both in and outside of the workplace. The company offers a range of paid leaves, including vacation, floating holidays, compassionate leave, and jury duty, ensuring a well-rounded support system. Employees also enjoy perks such as free uniforms and cleaning services, discounted hotel stays at any participating Hyatt location starting from day one, free colleague meals during shifts, tuition reimbursement, and transit subsidies through the ORCA pass program.
