The role available at Dorner Manufacturing is a hands-on assembly position focused on the production of custom conveyor components, including complex electrical systems. This full-time position is based in Sussex, Wisconsin, and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, providing employees with predictable hours to maintain a balanced personal and professional life. Candidates will utilize a variety of hand tools to assemble and wire panels according to schematic drawings, ensuring quality and precision in each build. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues in mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Employees in this position will have the opportunity to grow their expertise in electrical wiring and mechanical assembly while collaborating closely with engineers to solve technical problems and improve product quality. Job Requirements
- highschool diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- 1+ years of electrical experience preferred
- ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs safely
- experience with Epicor ERP system is a plus

Job Duties
- inspect finished product for defects and perform quality checks
- work from schematic drawings to build and install electrical components
- assemble and wire panels
- flex work as directed and assist in other departments with mechanical assembly
- troubleshoot non-conforming parts throughout the mechanical assembly/electrical process
- expedite orders as needed
- collaborate with engineers when troubleshooting with other team members
- maintain a safe and clean environment and perform 5S tasks as required
