Established as a hub of academic excellence, student engagement, and community involvement, Santa Fe College serves as a pivotal resource for higher education and personal growth. The college is committed to fostering a supportive and dynamic atmosphere where students can thrive academically, socially, and culturally. With a wide range of programs and services, SF focuses on promoting student success through comprehensive support mechanisms such as student activities, clubs and organizations, leadership programs, civic engagement initiatives, and specialized services for international students. The Student Life division at Santa Fe College plays an essential role in enhancing the campus experience by offering vibrant engagement opportunities, recreational facilities, and various student-centered services including a recreation room, computer lab, art gallery, and ID card services. The Student Activities Office is a key component within Student Life, dedicated to organizing events and programs that encourage student participation and community building. This office coordinates efforts that encompass everything from event setup and facilitation to marketing and outreach, ensuring that students have meaningful and enjoyable experiences throughout their academic journey.

The role of the Educational Aide within the Student Activities Office is designed to support the department’s mission of enriching student life by assisting with the facilitation of various events and initiatives. This part-time role typically requires a commitment of approximately 8 hours per week, although hours may vary depending on staff needs and the student’s class schedule. The Educational Aide plays a crucial role in the successful execution of student activities by helping with event preparation, managing event stations, distributing materials, and providing hospitality services. The position offers valuable hands-on experience in event management, organizational coordination, and teamwork in a collegiate setting. The Educational Aide also participates in marketing efforts through preparation and distribution of promotional materials and contributes to brainstorming and feedback activities such as student surveys. This is an excellent opportunity for currently enrolled Santa Fe College students who are engaged in academic pursuits and seek to enhance their leadership abilities and professional skills while actively contributing to the campus community. As an integral member of the Student Life team, the Educational Aide is expected to collaborate effectively with staff and maintain a professional demeanor that promotes a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all students involved. This role requires compliance with college policies, regulations related to confidentiality and public employee conduct, and a commitment to providing excellent, courteous, and informed service to the Santa Fe College community. The position underscores the college’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, providing a platform for students from various backgrounds to engage constructively in campus life. Employment is subject to completion of a criminal background check and requires maintaining a minimum GPA for eligibility. The college encourages interested candidates to apply by submitting the necessary documentation including an up-to-date resume and class schedule. With a strong emphasis on community, learning, and professional growth, this position at Santa Fe College offers students a unique blend of responsibility, engagement, and development within a supportive educational environment.
