Driver with Sprinter / Cargo / Transit Van

Courier Express is currently seeking independent contractor drivers and couriers who own cargo vans, Sprinter vans, or large transit vans to handle last mile distribution delivery routes. These routes are available Monday through Friday and cover Tallahassee, Quincy, Midway, Chipley, and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for independent contractors looking to earn a competitive income while maintaining a flexible schedule without overnight assignments. Independent contractors can expect to earn between $900 and $1300 weekly, depending on the size of their vehicle and the number of packages delivered.

This position requires contractors to provide their own vehicles and smartphones (either Android or iPhone) and ensures that drivers maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism. Courier Express emphasizes a clean driving record, requiring no more than three violations within three years, along with passing drug screening and felony background checks to comply with company policies and legal requirements. The role also demands physical capability as drivers must be able to lift and carry packages of varying sizes and weights.

Insurance requirements are specific to maintain safety and compliance: vehicles under 10,000 lbs Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) must have insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000/$50,000 (Bodily Injury and Property Damage), while vehicles over 10,000 lbs GVWR require $500,000 Combined Single Limit coverage.
