Job Description
Cascades Verdae is a distinguished luxury senior living community recognized as a Great Place to Work, exemplifying a strong commitment to its residents and team members alike. This community prides itself on embracing a "People First, Always" philosophy that guides every aspect of its operations, ensuring compassionate, respectful, and meaningful interactions. Cascades Verdae is not just a provider of senior living services but a vibrant community that prioritizes the dignity and well-being of its residents. As a leader in senior care, it offers an environment where seniors can thrive through exceptional care and enriching social experiences. The company fosters an inclusive workplace culture designed to support its employees' professional and personal growth, which is a critical component of the community's success and positive resident outcomes.
The role available at Cascades Verdae is for a Full-time Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver, titled Transportation Leader. This position is integral to the daily operations and social fabric of the community, overseeing the automotive transportation schedules for residents across all levels of care within the campus environment. The Transportation Leader ensures that residents are safely transported to their appointments, social outings, and recreational activities, enabling them to maintain an active and engaged lifestyle. This role requires not just technical driving skills but also a deep understanding of the community's values and the unique needs of each resident. The Transportation Leader collaborates closely with the Concierge and Social Director to develop efficient transportation routes and schedules that maximize resident participation and satisfaction.
Key responsibilities extend beyond safe driving to include assisting residents with vehicle entry and exit, maintaining strict confidentiality of medical information per HIPAA standards, and participating in social services meetings to contribute ideas for resident programming. The Transportation Leader must manage the maintenance and safety of vehicles, handle emergencies skillfully, and uphold the community's high standards for professionalism and interpersonal communication. With an emphasis on teamwork, flexibility, and ethical conduct, the role demands an individual who is not only skilled behind the wheel but also compassionate and proactive in improving the resident experience. This position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and engage with residents physically during transport activities, ensuring their comfort and security.
Cascades Verdae values continuous professional development and supports its Transportation Leader through opportunities like CPR certification and ongoing training to keep skills current. The position serves a critical function within a supportive, dynamic team environment where the well-being of residents is the utmost priority, aligning with the company’s guiding principles such as serving members and full responsibility. Candidates are expected to possess a valid CDL, a clean driving record, at least two years of relevant transportation experience, and strong communication skills with a commitment to punctuality and reliability. This is an opportunity for a motivated individual passionate about senior care, eager to make a tangible impact every day while working in a respected and award-winning company environment.
