With locations across the country, Regal Cinemas is committed to delivering memorable moments through the art of film and customer engagement. The company fosters a team-oriented environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills and provide outstanding guest service in line with the company's mission and policies.
The role of Cashier/Runner at Regal Cinemas is an essential team position tailored to meet individual theatre needs and employee availability, classified under variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employment types. This role is frontline in ensuring guests have a seamless and delightful experience from placing their food and drink orders to receiving them promptly at their seats or tables. Cashier/Runners are responsible not only for order accuracy and customer satisfaction but also for handling monetary transactions, following company protocols, and upholding Regal’s standards of service and compliance.
As a Cashier/Runner, the employee will engage directly with guests, demonstrating genuine care and professionalism, and contribute to the positive reputation of Regal Cinemas. This position involves proficiency in managing cash, credit, gift cards, coupons, and discount tickets. The cashier must accurately maintain cash drawer balances, record transactions in the Daily Pass Log, and execute refund, void, and sell-out procedures correctly. Knowledge of emergency protocols, phone etiquette, and cleanliness standards are also vital for this role.
Earning $22.13 per hour, employees in this role enjoy the perk of free movie passes and discounted concessions at any Regal location, enhancing their connection to the brand and its products. Furthermore, after reaching the age of 21 and completing six months of service, employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, supporting long-term financial planning.
To excel in this position, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or be progressing through certification programs specific to cast member and box office cashier roles. Strong public speaking, effective listening, and clear communication abilities are required to interact successfully with guests and team members. Accuracy and speed in performing calculations are necessary to manage transactions and identify errors efficiently. The role demands problem-solving skills, the ability to gather and analyze data, and the capacity to perform confidently under pressure and in challenging situations.
Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, hand coordination for handling tickets and cleaning materials, and occasional lifting up to 60 pounds. Employees must have good vision capabilities such as close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment to fulfill their duties effectively. Regal Cinemas is an equal opportunity employer committed to supporting diversity and inclusivity within the workplace.
This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service, cinema, and teamwork to join a reputable entertainment company, develop their professional skills, and contribute to a remarkable guest experience at the theatre.
