Job Description

WKS Restaurant Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing multi-concept franchise restaurant developer and operator, managing over 300 stores across 17 states. The company is a licensed franchisee for several well-known brands such as El Pollo Loco, Wendy's, Denny's, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Blaze Pizza, and Corner Bakery Cafe. Under the direction of the Market Manager, the District Manager for Wendy's will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of 5 to 7 Wendy's locations. This leadership position involves comprehensive operational responsibilities, including maintaining high standards for staffing, training and development, and ensuring the full profit and loss management of these stores. The District Manager will be instrumental in creating and managing budgets to ensure financial targets and business strategies are met effectively. Maintaining compliance with food safety procedures in accordance with company policies and health regulations is paramount, with proactive corrective actions taken to uphold standards.

This role requires strong leadership capabilities, as the District Manager will interview, hire, cross-train, and discipline General Managers and other staff members to foster a culture of accountability and teamwork. Frequent visits to assigned stores will be necessary to ensure all locations meet quality, cleanliness, and operational standards consistently. Close coordination and reporting to senior management are essential, providing updates on performance metrics and implementing strategic improvements.

Candidates are expected to have a minimum of three years’ experience as a District Manager or Multi-Unit Manager in high volume fast food or quick casual dining environments. Prior experience managing Wendy's locations is highly preferred, reflecting familiarity with the unique operational challenges and standards of the brand. The role demands flexibility, with the ability to work across various shifts and days as required. A valid driver's license and access to private transportation are mandatory due to the travel demands associated with overseeing multiple stores, with relocation to the Buffalo area necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years District Manager or Multi-Unit Manager experience in high volume fast food or quick casual concepts
  • Previous Wendy's District Manager experience strongly preferred
  • Must be able and willing to relocate to the Buffalo area with potential relocation assistance
  • Proven track record in financials, staffing, customer evaluation index results, food safety and voice of the customer program
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and access to private transportation required
  • Flexibility to work any days or shifts as needed
  • Consent to background screening including criminal, driving and drug screening
  • High school diploma or equivalent and possess all documents required by state and federal law
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and decision making
  • Results oriented and customer service focused
  • Previous Wendy's experience a plus

Job Duties

  • Manage overall operational practices of 5-7 Wendy's locations including staffing, profit and loss, training and development
  • Create and manage budgets for assigned stores
  • Ensure all food safety procedures are executed in accordance with company policies and health regulations and take corrective actions as needed
  • Interview, hire, cross-train and discipline General Managers and staff
  • Conduct regular store visits to maintain quality, cleanliness and operational standards
  • Coordinate with and report to senior management on performance and operational issues
