Job Description
Wingstop is a prominent player in the fast-casual dining industry, renowned for delivering bold and distinctive flavors through its signature fresh, never frozen chicken wings and hand-cut seasoned fries. Founded in 1994, Wingstop has established itself as a leader in the flavor business rather than simply the wing business, with a rich history of franchising that began in 1997. By 2002, Wingstop had achieved the impressive milestone of serving over one billion wings, cementing its position as one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands in the industry. The company's commitment to providing an exceptional flavor experience is evident in every facet of its operations, from the quality of food to the warmth of the guest service experience. As a brand, Wingstop epitomizes innovation and passion for flavor, catering to customers who crave more than just a meal - they seek a memorable and satisfying culinary experience.
The role of District Manager at Wingstop is a crucial leadership position designed for a highly motivated, results-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment. Reporting directly to the Owner and Director of Operations, the District Manager is entrusted with overseeing multiple restaurant locations within their region to ensure operational excellence, compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and adherence to OSHA guidelines. This person plays an indispensable role in driving the business forward by leading and supporting General Managers, maintaining high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation, and ultimately optimizing profitability and guest satisfaction. The District Manager is expected to be a passionate leader who embraces the hustle, actively engages with staff, and is deeply invested in training and developing teams to achieve both short-term and long-term company goals.
This full-time position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 per year, complemented by up to $10,000 in bonus potential and paid vacation time. The District Manager must be adaptable and resilient, able to work 50 to 60 hours weekly, and possess open availability given Wingstop's operating hours from 11am to midnight daily. This role requires frequent travel to multiple locations within a 50-mile radius, demanding a flexible and hands-on approach. Responsibilities encompass a wide spectrum of operational, administrative, and leadership duties, including ensuring exceptional guest service, managing cash handling and inventory processes, overseeing staffing and labor costs, maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and executing marketing and promotional campaigns.
Success in this role is dependent upon a blend of strong organizational skills, excellent communication, a commitment to quality and precision, and the ability to foster a collaborative and supportive team culture. Wingstop's work environment champions fairness, stability, and a strong performance culture, which is further reinforced by adherence to rigorous COVID-19 safety precautions such as personal protective equipment, plastic shields at workstations, temperature screenings, social distancing, and regular sanitizing. Wingstop is also committed to inclusive hiring practices, embracing fair chance employment policies and encouraging applications from individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including those without a college diploma.
Overall, the District Manager position at Wingstop is an exciting opportunity for professionals who are passionate about leadership, operational excellence, and delivering a world-class flavor experience. The role offers the chance to be part of a thriving company that is dedicated to growth and innovation while making a tangible impact on its teams and customers alike.
