MV Transportation is currently seeking a Dispatcher to join their dynamic team. This role is central to maintaining the daily route operations ensuring all transit activities occur smoothly, safely, and on time in accordance with both client-specific and company-wide procedures. The Dispatcher is responsible for real-time communication with drivers and clients to resolve issues and coordinate schedules efficiently. This position plays a vital role in supporting the operations team by monitoring route performance, recording driver attendance, and ensuring each route is staffed and executed effectively. The Dispatcher is also expected to foster positive employee morale and deliver outstanding customer service throughout all interactions.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to problem-solving and possess strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced transit environment. They will be adept in using technology such as Trapeze software to track and analyze route data and will communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including drivers, supervisors, and clients. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year previous dispatcher experience preferred
- two years of customer service experience preferred
- experience with Trapeze software
- ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- maintain composure under pressure
- demonstrate high customer service commitment
- demonstrate professional phone manner
- knowledge of the service area is a plus

Job Duties
- Takes client calls and communicates issues with drivers and Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as appropriate
- monitors radio, telephones and on-road provision of service for quality
- responsible for influencing positive employee morale and quality customer service
- monitors and completes driver sign-in and sign-out daily
- may assign trips to drivers to assure adequate disbursement of trips between all assigned routes
- monitors daily system performance
- participates in analysis and review of operating performance
- notes closed and/or late starting of routes and communicates same to Dispatch Supervisors and/or Dispatch Managers as appropriate
- driving an actual bus route as needed
- all other duties, as assigned
