The Dishwasher role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and safety that contribute to the entire dining experience at JOEY. This position offers a base hourly wage ranging from $18.45 to $30.00, with eligibility to earn additional tips through participation in the company’s tip pool, potentially adding between $3.00 and $6.00 per hour. As a vital member of the kitchen team, the Dishwasher ensures a pristine dining environment by thoroughly washing and organizing dishes, cutlery, glassware, and kitchenware while upholding stringent sanitation practices that comply with health and safety regulations. Job Duties
- Set up, clean, polish, and break down the dish machine
- change the dishwater periodically
- wash dishes, cutlery, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other equipment then stock and organize to their designated areas
- exercise required sanitation practices for dish handling by maintaining the dish area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner while complying with all required food handling and workplace safety procedures
- monitor the dish machine to ensure wash and rinse cycles do not fall below safety standard temperatures
- ensure the temperatures and ppm levels of sanitizers in the dish machine and sinks always comply with health code
- complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success and support the kitchen team as needed
- follow all instructions and guidelines for safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds
- report any equipment problems and maintenance issues to leadership immediately
- follow all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures
