Handmaker is currently seeking experienced, hard-working dishwashers to join our team. This role is vital to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and sanitation essential to our kosher kitchen and overall dining experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in dishwashing or food service preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Willingness to follow kosher kitchen regulations and guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role
  • Ability to work varied days and shifts, including weekends
  • Understanding of kosher kitchen practices preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to follow safety and hygiene guidelines

Job Duties

  • Help maintain a Kosher kitchen
  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines
  • Wash specific items by hand
  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
  • Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
  • Remove garbage regularly
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
