As a Dish Washer/Prep, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks that are pivotal to ensuring cleanliness, organization, and food safety within the kitchen and dining areas. This includes handling industrial washing machines and manual washing stations to sanitize utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Maintaining a clean kitchen environment by sanitizing floors, garbage cans, and workstations is also a core part of the role. The employee will help organize work areas before, during, and after service, ensuring smooth workflows and a well-managed kitchen space.
This position requires vigilance in monitoring dish machine performance, promptly reporting any issues to avoid disruption of service. Additionally, the role involves stocking supplies, properly labeling and dating items, and occasionally assisting in food preparation to support cooking and serving tasks. Job Duties
- Remove garbage regularly
- Sanitize and wash utensils, equipment, pots, pans, and other items and store properly
- Help to organize work stations and areas before/during/after service
- Ensure that containers, cups, etc. are constantly replenished during service
- Always observe dish machine performance and report any issues immediately
- Sanitize the kitchen area including floors
- Put stock and supplies away in the proper locations, making sure everything has a label and date
- Clean or prepare various foods/food items for cooking or serving
- Clean garbage cans, carts, and various stay-in-place equipment
