Job Requirements

  • No prior dishwasher or kitchen experience required
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and back-of-house teammates in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort working quickly and efficiently in a high-volume commercial kitchen
  • Physical ability to stand and move at a fast pace for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Sweep and mop floors, wash worktables, and clean walls of refrigerators and other assigned kitchen equipment using designated cleaning chemicals
  • Keep floors and work surfaces free of trash, water, and debris to maintain a safe back-of-house environment and prevent workplace accidents
  • Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans, and wash by hand or in the commercial dishwasher
  • Sort silverware before cleaning
  • properly load and unload the dishwasher to ensure sanitation standards are met
  • Sort and store all clean china, glassware, silverware, chafers, coffee pots, pitchers, display pieces, and platters using proper procedures
  • Assist with unloading product from supply trucks and supporting the culinary team with kitchen tasks as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
