This full-time Dishwasher role at the Napa Valley Wine Train offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this legendary service team. The position involves working directly in a fine dining culinary environment aboard the train and at various seasonal events and private functions. As a Dishwasher, you will be instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of all culinary tools and stations, supporting the culinary staff in delivering an impeccable guest experience. The role demands high accuracy and speed, as well as adherence to industry best practices in kitchen hygiene and operation. The role requires physical stamina including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.   • able to work in small space and on a moving train
  • able to stand for long periods
  • available for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • minimum age of 18
  • able to speak and read English
  • available weekends
  • some restaurant experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • proven kitchen or dishwashing experience
  • basic knowledge of food safety practices
  • ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • culinary school diploma a plus
  • food handler's or Serve Safe certification preferred or ability to obtain
  • strong communication skills in English

Job Duties

  • Prepare and maintain cleanliness of all culinary items and stations
  • support culinary team during lunch, dinner, and special train events
  • adhere to industry best practices and safety standards
  • ensure timely and accurate execution of assigned kitchen tasks
  • collaborate with team members to maintain efficient kitchen workflow
  • assist in setup and breakdown for seasonal experiences and private events
