The Dishwasher position at ProHealth Care Food Services is a part-time role with a 0.3 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) status, involving a day/night rotating schedule. This float position requires flexibility to work various shifts, with the morning shift typically from 7:30am to 4:00pm and the evening shift from 1:30pm to 10:00pm. This role is central to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food service areas. The dishwasher is responsible for ensuring all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils are meticulously cleaned and sanitized to meet food safety regulations. The role also involves collecting dirty dish carts from patient units or designated areas within the 725 Grille, processing these items in the dish room, and properly storing cleaned items. Accuracy and attention to detail are required when taking and recording dish machine temperatures using test strips and logging the results to maintain compliance with safety standards.
Beyond dishwashing duties, the employee is expected to maintain cleanliness in all food cart areas, keep floors and walkways clear of debris, maintain proper chemical levels in dish machines, and conduct thorough cleaning of the work area at the end of each shift. The employee checks out with the shift coordinator before leaving to ensure all tasks meet organizational standards.

Job Requirements
- 1 year of relevant experience preferred
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- must be at least 16 years old
- ability to work flexible day/night rotating shifts
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capability to follow hospital safety policies
- basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation practices

Job Duties
- performs all necessary duties to maintain clean dishes, pot and pans for food service
- collects carts of dirty dishes from patient units or cart areas within the 725 Grille
- brings dishes to dish room and strips them for cleaning
- accurately takes and records dish temperatures by running the test strips and logs them accordingly
- keeps all food carts clean
- restocks all clean dishes putting them away in their proper location
- keeps floors and throughways clear and clean from debris
- maintains all chemical levels on dish machine
- cleans area at the end of shift and checks out with coordinator on duty before leaving
