The Dishwasher position at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn is a vital role within the Food and Beverage department, dedicated to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards to support the culinary team and overall guest satisfaction. This full-time, non-management role involves operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. The Dishwasher is responsible for washing and disinfecting kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment, ensuring all items meet the highest sanitation standards. Additional duties include receiving deliveries, properly storing perishables, rotating stock, and meticulously organizing clean wares in appropriate areas.

The role demands thorough knowledge and practice of sanitizing chemicals, use of the 3-compartment sink for cleaning dishes, and careful inspection of cleaned items to maintain rigorous quality expectations. The Dishwasher also handles sorting, soaking, washing, and re-washing silverware, along with waste management tasks such as breaking down dirty bus tubs, emptying trashcans, maintaining the dumpster area, and recycling. Physical requirements include the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and the stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods with movements involving bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
