The Dishwasher role at JOEY Restaurants is a vital position integral to the kitchen team's overall success and the guest experience. JOEY offers all new dishwashers a competitive wage starting at $17.87 per hour, with the added opportunity to earn tips. Job Requirements

  • Must have valid local and/or state Food Handler certification
  • must obtain California Responsible Beverage Service certification if applicable

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Set up, clean, polish, and break down the dish machine
  • change the dishwater periodically
  • wash dishes, cutlery, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other equipment then stock and organize to their designated areas
  • exercise required sanitation practices for dish handling by maintaining the dish area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner while complying with all required food handling and workplace safety procedures
  • monitor the dish machine to ensure wash and rinse cycles do not fall below safety standard temperatures
  • ensure the temperatures and ppm levels of sanitizers in the dish machine and sinks always comply with health code
  • complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success and support the kitchen team as needed
  • follow all instructions and guidelines for safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds
  • report any equipment problems and maintenance issues to leadership immediately
  • follow all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures
