The Dishwasher position at Canteen is a full-time role located at Applied Underwriters in Omaha, NE. This role is vital in maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of kitchenware and work areas, ensuring high standards of sanitation and safety in the kitchen environment. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, the dishwasher plays an essential part in supporting kitchen operations by efficiently cleaning dishes, pots, pans, trays, and utensils using assigned equipment and procedures. Job Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience
- Previous janitorial experience
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Basic knowledge of dishwashing equipment and processes
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights

Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and trays
- Polishes silverware using burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, or hand cloths
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels according to standards
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to comply with safety and sanitation requirements
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces
- Removes trash, cleans garbage containers, and transfers supplies between storage and work areas
