As a respected and comprehensive health care system, St. Luke's prioritizes the skills, experience, and compassion of its employees who are regarded as the organization’s most valuable asset. The network's mission focuses on delivering exceptional care for the sick and injured, educating physicians, nurses, and other health providers, and striving to improve health care accessibility regardless of a patient's financial ability. This commitment spans across multiple locations, where a strong team effort enables St. Luke's to maintain its high standards of service and care.

This particular opportunity is for the Dishwasher, Food Service position at St. Luke's University Health Network. The role is crucial to the smooth operation of food services, ensuring that all pots, pans, utensils, and kitchenware are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored to meet the organization's hygiene and safety standards. The dishwasher also supports general kitchen sanitation from sweeping and mopping to assisting with stock receipt and storage. This position requires physical stamina with duties involving long periods of walking, standing, lifting, carrying, and occasional bending or climbing. Effective performance in this role helps maintain the functionality and cleanliness of kitchen operations which directly contributes to overall patient care quality.

The Dishwasher will operate during shifts that include early morning to evening hours, specifically 6am-2:30pm, 8am-4:30pm, or 11am-7:30pm, including weekends and holidays. No prior experience is necessary as on-the-job training is provided, making this an excellent entry-level position for candidates interested in joining the health care environment. The compensation range offered is between $14.85 and $22.28 per hour, depending on various factors such as location, skills, and experience. St. Luke's is committed to meeting or exceeding minimum wage requirements specific to the state where the position is located.

The Dishwasher position not only meets the essential operational needs of the kitchen but also aligns with St. Luke's broader goals of excellence, safety, and community care. Employees are expected to maintain professional hygiene, adhere to uniform policies, and perform all duties in a safe and effective manner. The job involves diverse physical activities, including the handling of stock, maintaining dish room areas, proper waste disposal, and assisting with the continuous sanitation of kitchen spaces. Beyond the core cleaning tasks, employees help prepare the kitchen environment for meal service, contributing to the successful delivery of food services on a daily basis.

Joining St. Luke's means becoming part of a supportive and dynamic workplace culture focused on growth and employee well-being. Comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, sick leave, and professional development opportunities are offered.
