Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Ability to follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Pass drug and alcohol test within 90 days of hire
- Ability to communicate in English
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read a thermometer
- Ability to operate and maintain dishwashing machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies and their uses
- Ability to follow workplace safety and sanitation guidelines
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and accept direction
Job Duties
- Wash, sanitize and dry dishes, utensils, pots and pans as requested by management or staff
- Safely wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils and equipment
- Ensure cleanliness of all washed and sanitized items
- Follow proper dishwashing sequence per restaurant specifications
- Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent backup of dirty dishes
- Assist with cleanliness of back of house and restrooms
- Restock all items to appropriate areas after washing
