Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation preferred but not required
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- capability to lift and carry weights up to 60 pounds
- able to wear required uniform and personal protective equipment
- capacity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment with exposure to heat, chemicals, and noise
- flexibility to work various shifts including holidays and weekends
Job Qualifications
- able to pass a food handler certification exam
- sufficient education or training to read, write, count and follow verbal and written instructions
- able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
- available to work holidays and weekends as well as shorter or longer hours due to business volume
Job Duties
- work effectively with team members to deliver exceptional customer service
- maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
- clean and sanitize all dishware, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- dry and store clean dishware and cookware
- maintain dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
- ensure equipment is clean and in working condition, report any issues to management
- perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks
- assist with catering and special events as needed
- adhere to the uniform policy
- adhere to Aramark and client companies, San Diego County and OSHA safety policies and procedures for proper food safety, sanitation, storage and disposal
