Intermountain Health is a well-established healthcare organization committed to providing excellent medical and support services across Utah and neighboring regions. An industry leader in healthcare, Intermountain Health operates numerous facilities including hospitals, clinics, and specialized care centers focused on delivering patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and compassion. Utah Valley Hospital, a key facility within the Intermountain Health network, serves as a modern, fully-equipped hospital offering a wide range of medical and surgical services to the Provo community and beyond. Dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of healthcare, Utah Valley Hospital embodies Intermountain’s mission of fostering a culture of wellness that supports the mind, body, and spirit of both patients and employees.

This part-time position at Utah Valley Hospital is a pivotal role within the Culinary Department that contributes essential support to hospital operations by ensuring that all dishwashing and general housekeeping duties are performed in accordance with the highest sanitary and safety standards. Operating within a hospital environment demands stringent adherence to regulations set forth by health authorities such as the Joint Commission and Health Department, and this role is fundamental in maintaining compliance with these mandates.

The role involves responsibilities that include cleaning and sanitizing dishes, collecting patient meal trays from hospital floors, and disinfecting assigned dining and kitchen areas using approved cleaning procedures. The position requires operating various housekeeping machines such as commercial dishwashers and managing infectious waste disposal correctly. Working hours for this position are flexible with shifts primarily scheduled between 7am and 10:30pm, including weekends and rotating holidays, offering a varied schedule that supports hospital needs. The hourly pay ranges from $17.43 to $22.29 depending on experience, and the role is benefits-eligible, providing medical, dental, vision insurance, and educational assistance among other perks.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking meaningful work in a healthcare setting that values cleanliness, safety, and teamwork. Candidates will benefit from a supportive work culture that emphasizes professional development, health and wellness, and community impact. Comprehensive training ensures that employees are confident and compliant with all hospital standards, promoting a safe environment for patients and staff alike. Expectations include strong communication skills, the ability to follow detailed instructions, and a commitment to upholding a clean and safe culinary environment that supports the overall mission of Intermountain Health.
