As a Utility Cleaner, you will play a fundamental role in supporting various hotel functions by performing essential cleaning and maintenance tasks across multiple departments, including kitchen, food and beverage services, and laundry. This position is crucial to maintaining the operational efficiency and cleanliness standards expected at Renaissance Hotels. The role involves preparing clean linens and dishware for guest use, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, washers, and dryers, and transporting linens and dishware throughout the hotel.

Utility Cleaners contribute significantly to the overall guest experience by ensuring that the back-of-house operations run smoothly and hygienically. They are responsible for following company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, uphold professional standards of appearance and communication, and work collaboratively with other associates and departments to achieve common goals. This role demands physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as lifting, moving, and pushing objects weighing less than 50 pounds, standing, sitting, walking for prolonged periods, and performing movements like squatting or bending.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a proactive approach, listens and responds appropriately to concerns, and reports any accidents, damages, or hazardous conditions promptly to management. No prior experience or high school diploma is required, although a General Educational Development (GED) certificate is acceptable.
