This particular role is an entry-level position focused on dishwashing and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area. Team Members in this role play a critical part in ensuring a positive customer experience by keeping kitchen and dining areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations. Key responsibilities include washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans; maintaining the cleanliness of various kitchen components such as floors, mats, and shelves; assisting with kitchen deliveries by organizing and rotating stocked product; and performing opening, mid-, and closing shift duties. Employees must arrive on time, be properly groomed and dressed, and uphold the company values by delivering courteous and efficient service to both customers and fellow Team Members.

The wage range for this hourly role is generally from $17.50 to $25.40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling

Job Duties

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares
  • maintain cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area
  • assist with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products
  • arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
  • provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques
  • answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
  • maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • follow and comply, or ensure compliance, with established procedures including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
  • maintain or ensure maintenance of a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • maintain equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards
  • perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
  • ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
  • immediately report safety hazards and violations
  • perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
