Job Description

This role is for a Dishwasher who will be an integral part of maintaining the highest cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchenware including china, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils. Reporting directly to the kitchen management team, the Dishwasher ensures all dishes are cleaned using both machine and manual methods, keeping the dishwashing area maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility. This seasonal or full-time hourly role offers competitive compensation starting at $18.00 per hour. The Dishwasher works a schedule that may include weekends, holidays, days, and evenings to accommodate the club's operational hours.

The Dishwasher will be responsible for sorting, rinsing, and properly handling both dirty and clean dishes, as well as maintaining the dishwashing equipment by changing dishwater regularly, cleaning mats, and assembling/disassembling the dish machine as needed. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow stringent sanitation and safety standards, including monitoring dish machine temperatures to ensure safety compliance. Additionally, the Dishwasher is expected to contribute actively to overall restaurant cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash, both inside and outside the facility.

The position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds regularly, stand for extended periods, and work in hot, damp, and sometimes humid conditions. Candidates with previous kitchen cleaning experience and a State Food Handler Certification are preferred. Job Duties

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensil and place them in racks to send through dish machine
  • sort and stack clean dishes
  • carry clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas
  • rewash soiled dishes before delivering
  • change dishwater in dish machine every hour
  • wash pots, pans and trays by hand
  • remove trash and garbage to dumpster
  • set up or break down dishwashing area
  • clean and roll/unroll mats
  • fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
  • sweep/mop floors
  • assemble/disassemble dish machine
  • sweep up trash around exterior of facility directly adjacent to Food & Beverage department and garbage dumpster
  • general restaurant cleaning as directed
  • wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
  • notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures
  • never touch clean dishes after touching dirty dishes without washing hands first
  • maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
  • active participation in events, programs, meetings and training
  • represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
  • schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days and evenings
