The Dishwasher role at Sodexo, located at UCF Lake Nona Medical Center, offers a part-time rotation shift opportunity with pay ranging from $15.50 to $16.50 per hour. This position is pivotal in supporting kitchen and facility operations to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization in food production and service areas. The dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes either by hand or using dishwashing machines, sanitizing work areas, floors, walls, and storage spaces, as well as managing trash removal and restocking supplies. This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift varying weights up to 50 pounds.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • no related work experience required
  • knowledge of sanitation procedures including basic food safety concepts
  • ability to walk or stand for extended periods during an entire shift
  • ability to lift frequently up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • ability to reach, bend, stoop, push or pull
  • punctuality and regular attendance
  • willingness to work mornings, afternoons/evenings, some weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine
  • cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks
  • sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors
  • removes trash and garbage to designated areas
  • cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
  • re-stocks supplies such as soap, paper towels and cleaning materials
  • attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
