The position available is a part-time role focused on maintaining the kitchen and dining areas within one of Atria's communities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and excellent service. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $16.90 to $20.28, depending on previous work experience and history. This role is essential in supporting the culinary services by washing, sanitizing, and storing kitchen equipment and dining ware while helping to uphold high standards in food service operations. The team-oriented environment requires effective communication and cooperation with culinary leadership and other staff members to deliver a restaurant-style dining atmosphere that enhances resident satisfaction.

Duties for this position include maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and sanitation, cleaning floors and equipment, assisting cooks and wait staff, following standard food safety practices, and participating in the preparation and execution of special dining events such as banquets and theme meals. This role also involves operating and maintaining dishwashing machines to ensure hygienic standards. The employee will work closely with the Director of Culinary Services and Executive Director to support the culinary experience and uphold Atria’s quality enhancement standards.   • Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere
  • Work closely with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs
  • Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times
  • Wash and store all dishes and equipment in accordance with policy and procedures
  • Maintain dish room area in a neat, clean and sanitary manner
  • Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of the Art of Atria Dining enhancement programs
