The role available is for a Part-time Dishwasher reporting to the Prepared Foods Managers and classified as Non-Exempt, Union Classification Level 1. This position is critical to the smooth operation of the deli section and overall kitchen environment. The dishwasher’s main responsibilities include ensuring that all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils are thoroughly washed and sanitized, guaranteeing that these essential kitchen tools are always ready for use. The role demands a reliable person who can maintain cleanliness and organization in and around the dishwashing area, taking care of waste disposal and supporting a hygienic kitchen space.

Work shifts are scheduled for evenings on Thursdays and Fridays from 2pm-10pm. This role adheres to the standards governed by the collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters Local 231, ensuring fair and structured working conditions. The salary for this position ranges from $19.67 to $23.36 per hour, reflecting the value placed on the contributions of team members in maintaining smooth service flow.

Job Requirements

  • Work in environments with moderate to loud noise, including phones, music, conversations, and machinery
  • stand for extended periods and regularly bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to maintain a current Washington State food worker card or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • Keep the dish area clean and organized
  • wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils thoroughly
  • put clean items away in appropriate locations
  • take out trash and recycling
  • remove trash and bus tubs from the front of house
  • maintain cleanliness of the recycling area and dish pit
  • sweep and mop kitchen floors, including the walk-in
  • participate in regular and deep cleaning projects
  • assist with putting away orders as needed
  • follow directions from team members to prioritize tasks
  • communicate with coworkers when leaving or returning from breaks
  • share ideas and concerns with the manager
  • offer help and maintain positive communication with coworkers
  • ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met
  • perform additional duties in both front and back of house as needed
