The Dishwasher role at Oakmont of Novato is essential to maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards critical to the community's overall health and resident satisfaction. This position is available both full-time and part-time, with a competitive pay range of $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that all dishes and utensils used by residents and staff are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly in line with Oakmont's mission and values. This role is a vital part of the kitchen staff, providing support that ensures smooth meal services and a safe dining environment.

Responsibilities include preparing the dish room and related areas prior to meal service, transporting dishes for cleaning following meal times, and thoroughly sanitizing all kitchenware. The Dishwasher also assists with kitchen break-down and overall sanitation efforts, including cleaning dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains, and managing waste by emptying trash receptacles. The role requires excellent teamwork and cooperative interactions among kitchen staff and other departments to promote a harmonious work environment. It also demands a high standard of safety to protect staff, residents, and guests.

Oakmont seeks candidates with a minimum of six months of experience in kitchen or similar settings, who are at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary to interact with a diverse range of individuals, including team members, supervisors, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families. Applicants must pass a criminal background check and health screenings, including physical and TB tests. To ensure the health and safety of the community, vaccinations, daily health screenings, and compliance with PPE protocols may be required.
