This particular role is for a dishwasher position within the Whole Foods Market team. As a dishwasher, you will be a crucial part of the kitchen operations, responsible for ensuring all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares are thoroughly washed, rinsed, and sanitized to maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards. You will also contribute to the overall upkeep of the kitchen environment, including cleaning floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves, and assisting with kitchen deliveries, organizing, and proper rotation of products. Attending scheduled training, meetings, and adhering to company policies is essential.

This hourly role offers a wage range of $15.00 to $24.40 based on experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing and walking for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour workday
  • ability to perform physical motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • ability to work in temperature ranges from below freezing to over 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares
  • maintain cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area
  • assist with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products
  • arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
  • provide excellent customer service and address customer needs in a timely and effective manner
  • maximize sales potential through proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • follow and comply with established procedures including health and sanitation and safe work practices
  • maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
  • immediately report safety hazards and violations
  • perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
