The Dishwasher role at Black Bear Diner is critical to maintaining the restaurant's overall cleanliness and operational flow. The dishwasher ensures a sanitary environment by cleaning all china, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans, as well as maintaining the back kitchen and dumpster areas. This role supports bussers and kitchen staff by sustaining a steady supply of clean utensils and kitchenware, which directly contributes to excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

The dishwasher also plays a proactive role in overseeing the cleanliness of kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other cooking appliances, as well as maintaining hygienic dining and guest service areas including the restrooms and parking lot. Responsibilities extend to monitoring chemical supply inventory, ensuring the dishwashing machines are functioning correctly and cleaned regularly, and supporting waste management processes by timely removal of trash and recyclables.
