The Director of Trauma is a registered nurse role of critical importance within this institution. This leadership position involves collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director and hospital administration to oversee the trauma program in alignment with the designated trauma level requirements. The role encompasses authority over trauma performance improvement and patient safety processes, trauma registry management, data analysis, injury prevention initiatives, outreach education, outcome reviews, and research activities. The Director of Trauma is integral in maintaining the program's compliance with standards set by verifying bodies and enhancing trauma care through multidisciplinary coordination among medical teams.

The Director serves as a strategic leader ensuring excellence in trauma care delivery. Key competencies include customer focus, drive for results, business acumen, vision and strategic agility, and team development. The individual is responsible for facilitating educational opportunities and clinical protocols, managing budgets, advocating for trauma services on hospital and regional committees, and spearheading continuous quality improvement initiatives. This leadership role demands exceptional problem-solving abilities, communication skills, a commitment to patient confidentiality, and the ability to build strong relationships across patients, physicians, and support staff.

This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, offering a stable and dynamic work environment. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field, with specific trauma management certifications and a minimum of two years’ experience in trauma patient care and healthcare leadership.
