Within this dynamic environment, the role of Director, Operations Group Manager, Global Clearing Operations is pivotal. This position is based in Lake Mary, FL and is integral to the success of BNY Mellon’s Global Clearing Operations Client Platform team. The Director will oversee day-to-day management of operations teams, organizing and directing resources aligned to specific Pods and Service Delivery Groups (SDGs). The role is broken into two main areas of responsibility: running the bank and changing the bank. Running the bank involves executing operational strategies that ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity. This includes implementing operational metrics for client deliverables, monitoring unit costs, and maintaining risk indicators to meet benchmarks. The Director is expected to enforce policies and procedures that maintain compliance with operational standards and regulations, while collaborating with other managers to synchronize team objectives and key results.
The change-the-bank responsibilities focus on driving initiatives that promote transformation within the Operations function in alignment with strategic objectives. As a leader, the Director engages with stakeholders including senior management and clients to understand expectations and feedback on these initiatives. They develop communication strategies to keep teams informed and motivated while monitoring progress and mitigating risks associated with change. A critical part of the role is to coach teams through change adoption and provide ongoing support.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience
- 10-12 years of total work experience
- At least 1-2 years management experience preferred
- Applicable local or regional licenses or certifications required
- Series 7 and Series 24 FINRA licenses preferred
- Experience in DTC, Fed, or Non-US Market clearance and settlements operations preferred
- Prior hands-on experience with AI prompting and automation projects preferred
- Operations experience required
- Agile experience preferred
- Ability to travel as needed
- Background in process re-engineering and leading large, diverse teams
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and operations standards

Job Duties
- Responsible for day-to-day management of Operations teams within the Platform
- Accountable for organizing, directing, and managing Operations resources aligned to PODs and Service Delivery Groups
- Execute the Operations strategy for the Platform by planning and day-to-day management of the Operations teams
- Implement comprehensive set of Operations metrics covering client deliverables, unit costs, efficiency benchmarks, and Key Risk Indicators
- Ensure Operations meets the quality, efficiency, and productivity standards and goals set by the Operations Practice and Platform EPO
- Implement and enforce the Operations policies, procedures, and best practices of the Operations Practice and ensure compliance with relevant guardrails and regulations
- Collaborate and communicate with other managers within PODs and SDGs to align on objectives and OKRs
- Identify and develop Operations talent, and ensure Operations teams actively engage in Practice learning priorities, with emphasis on Digital Tools
- Lead and manage design, implementation, and evaluation of Operations change initiatives and projects aligning with the Platform OKRs
- Engage and consult with senior management, clients, and partners to understand feedback on change initiatives
- Develop and execute communication strategies for change initiatives
- Monitor progress and risk of change initiatives on Operations process and provide management updates
- Provide coaching and guidance to facilitate adoption of change initiatives and address challenges
- Promote a culture of transparency, trust, and collaboration within the teams
