Job Description
XpertDox, Inc. is a physician-founded, venture-backed healthcare AI company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, with a global delivery team based in India. The company specializes in leveraging advanced technologies such as neural networks, machine learning, and natural language processing to transform outpatient medical claims processing through its flagship platform, XpertCoding. This platform autonomously codes medical claims directly from clinical documentation, streamlining operations for healthcare providers and payers alike. XpertDox is dedicated to delivering highly reliable and secure solutions that support clinical and financial decisions, adhering to rigorous compliance standards including HIPAA, SOC 2 Type 2, and ISO 27001.
This role is for the Director of Web Development, a senior leadership position within the Technology department at XpertDox. As the Director, you will hold complete ownership of the company’s web platforms, encompassing both client-facing products and internal applications crucial for daily operational workflows. The client-facing platform provides healthcare executives, practice managers, and billers with powerful analytics and reporting capabilities that inform their business decisions. Moreover, you will oversee internal applications that underpin company operations, client success initiatives, and administrative tasks.
Your responsibilities will span from defining product requirements in collaboration with internal teams and clients, to architecting and engineering both frontend and backend aspects of these platforms. The position requires a balance of hands-on coding—primarily using React, TypeScript, and Node.js technologies—and strategic leadership of the engineering team based in Noida, India. Effective remote team management across different time zones through clear specifications, disciplined asynchronous code review, and strong adherence to engineering standards will be critical.
Quality, security, and reliability are fundamental to this role given the sensitive nature of health data involved. You will be accountable for elevating the standards of code quality, user interface design, accessibility, and system security across all web applications. This includes ensuring adherence to best practices around access control, data isolation, and secure handling of protected health information.
The role is firmly on-site at the Scottsdale headquarters, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This direct presence facilitates collaboration across departments and supports the strategic vision set by the Chief Technology Officer. The salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $160,000 annually, with additional benefits including incentive stock options and relocation assistance.
Joining XpertDox means becoming part of an innovative healthcare technology environment where cutting-edge AI applications are redefining medical billing and healthcare operations. This leadership role offers a unique blend of technical ownership, product strategy, and team management, ideal for a seasoned web development professional with a passion for healthcare and secure, scalable software solutions. Candidates ready to contribute both code and visionary leadership in a mission-driven company will find this an exciting opportunity to grow and make a significant impact.
