The role being offered is for a Sales Department Leader, a full-time management position pivotal to the success of the property’s revenue and business growth. This position commands leadership of the sales team for a flagship property with bookings exceeding 300 peak rooms and substantial local catering income. As the manager of both reactive and proactive sales initiatives, this leader is responsible for driving the overall sales strategy to meet and exceed booking goals and revenue targets. The position requires developing a strategic account plan to capitalize on demand generators and channel participation, while managing marketing communications and budgets to support property-specific campaigns and promotions.

Serving as a key liaison across various departments including regional marketing, revenue management, and event management, the Sales Department Leader plays a critical role in aligning the sales team’s efforts with the hotel’s brand standards and service strategies. They are expected to cultivate long-term, value-based customer relationships, ensure that Marriott’s customer service standards are met, and maintain a seamless turnover process between sales and operations. Leadership and team development are central to this role, involving coaching sales associates, identifying talent needs, managing recruitment strategies, and fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
