Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, marketing, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of sales management experience in the hotel industry
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel locally and work occasional evenings and weekends
- Proficiency with sales and marketing software and Marriott brand systems
- Ability to lead and mentor a sales team effectively
- Demonstrated strategic planning and negotiation skills
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Director of Sales or strong Senior Sales Manager in a hotel environment
- Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and sales targets
- Experience securing corporate, group, and event business across multiple market segments
- Strong negotiation, closing, and account management skills
- Experience with Marriott systems and brand standards preferred
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Relationship-driven sales leader with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Job Duties
- Drive revenue growth by achieving budgeted goals for rooms, catering, and events through proactive sales strategies and market engagement
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing plans to exceed revenue and occupancy targets
- Secure corporate, SMERF, LNR, and event business through prospecting, relationship-building, and strategic negotiations
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and meeting planners to generate repeat and new business
- Analyze market trends, competitive data, and demand forecasts to adjust pricing and sales strategies
- Manage and grow key accounts to maximize long-term partnerships and revenue opportunities
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and function space to ensure profitability and compliance with hotel policies
