The Director of Revenue Management role at Ace Hotel, a position within the Highgate Hotels family, is a key leadership opportunity designed for a strategic thinker and skilled analyst. This full-time, yearly salaried position is responsible for maximizing all potential revenue streams of the hotel by developing and executing both long-term and immediate revenue management strategies. The Director will focus on improving RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) market share through rigorous analysis of the transient and group market segments, understanding segmentation within those markets, and optimizing related revenue areas such as catering, space utilization, golf, spa, and other ancillary services.

This role will require a highly detail-oriented professional who can analyze market trends, competitor behavior, and economic variables to forecast and implement revenue strategies that enhance hotel profitability. The Director will oversee daily pricing and room inventory management processes and ensure the correct mix of business is achieved every day throughout the year. They will also manage digital marketing efforts, coordinate with OTAs and sales teams, and maintain state-of-the-art revenue management software systems.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will chair weekly revenue strategy meetings, prepare detailed revenue forecasts and budgets, and develop staff through dedicated training and leadership initiatives. Clear communication and the ability to foster strong interdepartmental relationships are essential to effectively align operational and sales teams towards shared revenue goals. Overall, this position demands a proactive leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where quick decision-making, meticulous financial analysis, and collaborative leadership contribute directly to the hotel’s success and market leadership.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Establish hotel pricing levels in all segments and all room types
  • responsible for the daily room inventory management process and daily pricing process
  • monitor competitor rates, positioning, strategies and data
  • maintain understanding of the dynamics of the local market and demand generators and present appropriate action plans to management
  • monitor and communicate fluctuations in occupancy to operational departments to manage staffing and increase efficiency
  • analyze local events and activities and project the effect of opportunities they create
  • understand macro and micro-economic variables affecting supply and demand to create accurate revenue forecasts
  • perform unconstrained demand analysis to determine optimal business mix
  • responsible for short and long term revenue forecasts
  • oversee evaluation process for contracted business opportunities
  • maintain revenue management software programs
  • monitor RevPAR index and provide critical analysis
  • prepare annual rooms revenue budget
  • chair weekly revenue strategy meetings
  • prepare and present reports to ownership
  • ensure all distribution channels have correct content and pricing
  • develop and maintain relationships with market managers of OTAs and peers
