Job Description
Tandem Hospitality Group is a distinguished hospitality management company known for its focus on boutique hotels and chef-driven restaurants. With a philosophy of 'pedal together, win together,' Tandem Hospitality Group fosters a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture where leadership is rooted in ownership, accountability, and transparency. The company embraces a hands-on, operator-led approach, partnering closely with teams to drive performance, elevate guest experiences, and build strong, sustainable operations. Leaders within the organization are empowered to think like business owners, lead with intention, and cultivate environments where teams can thrive, connect deeply with the company's vision, and perform at their best. Tandem Hospitality Group is committed to providing an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants, ensuring employment decisions are based solely on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications without discrimination.
The company is currently seeking a Director of Revenue Management (DRM) to lead its revenue management strategy across its hospitality portfolio. This full-time, exempt leadership position reports directly to the Vice President of Commercial Strategy or the COO and offers a competitive annual salary range from $100,000 to $140,000 with additional bonus eligibility based on revenue performance metrics. The DRM is responsible for steering the revenue management function to optimize top-line results by leveraging data-driven decision-making, disciplined execution, and close collaboration across multiple departments including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. This strategic leadership role directly influences critical factors such as pricing, inventory control, distribution channel management, and demand forecasting to maximize revenue per available room (RevPAR), market share (RGI), and overall profitability.
Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive revenue strategies that focus on maximizing occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and market penetration indices such as MPI and ARI. The DRM analyzes market and internal data sources including STR and Demand360 reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and adjusts strategies accordingly for sustained financial performance. Essential to this role is the ownership of robust forecasting processes with daily, weekly, and rolling forecasts that ensure accuracy and alignment with broader budget and planning initiatives. The DRM also drives the effective use and continuous optimization of critical revenue management systems such as RMS, PMS, CRS, and distribution platforms, ensuring configuration consistency and compliance at the property level.
In addition, the Director of Revenue Management leads weekly strategy meetings focused on actionable performance outcomes, provides guidance and accountability to general managers (GMs), directors of sales (DOS), and property leadership, and actively escalates performance challenges to senior leadership for resolution. This role partners commercially with Sales to align group and transient demand strategies and works with Marketing to optimize promotional and digital efforts, including OTA channel management. The DRM supports operational transitions such as hotel openings, repositioning, and portfolio expansions.
The role demands a strong commitment to process standardization by building revenue management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), unifying reporting and KPI dashboards across the portfolio, and driving ongoing discipline and continuous improvement. This position is primarily office-based but requires participation in meetings, strategy sessions, operational reviews, and occasional travel to hotel properties. Flexibility in scheduling and availability for regular revenue calls and leadership meetings are necessary to meet business needs. This position is critical for Tandem Hospitality Group's sustained revenue growth and competitive market positioning.
