Job Requirements

  • minimum 3 years experience in similar position
  • experience in luxury hospitality preferred
  • prior experience in unionized food and beverage preferably Local 6
  • reading, writing and oral proficiency in English
  • willingness to work flexible schedule including holidays
  • excellent communication and organization skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • strong attention to detail
  • knowledge of food preparation, wine, beverages and cocktails
  • self-motivated and motivator of others
  • ability to relate well with guests and management

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 3 years experience in a similar director-level position preferably in a luxury environment
  • prior experience in unionized food and beverage operations preferably Local 6
  • strong communication and organizational skills

  • in-depth knowledge of food preparation, wine, beverages and cocktails

Job Duties

  • support company philosophy and culture through legendary quality experiences to ensure guest satisfaction and achieve mission statement
  • provide leadership and support for MO Lounge and Bar colleagues
  • train, evaluate and schedule MO Lounge and Bar staff per company standards and policies
  • develop and implement system to maintain tabletop supplies through staff side work
  • create and ensure compliance with side work schedules for all positions
  • keep record and communicate exemplary or deficient examples of food, decor or service
  • perform administrative duties including scheduling, payroll, and inventory
  • recruit, interview and schedule new staff
  • provide excellent guest service and assist guests courteously and efficiently
  • manage day-to-day operations
  • supervise maintenance and cleanliness of MO Lounge and Bar
  • maintain excellent knowledge of food and beverage
  • manage proper staffing and supply levels
  • provide ongoing staff training and development
  • chair monthly departmental meetings
  • conduct daily communication meetings with staff prior to shifts
  • ensure MO Lounge and Bar service standards meet LQA and Forbes guidelines
  • visit guest tables to ensure satisfaction
  • manage, coach and counsel colleagues including disciplinary actions
  • uphold and enforce hotel policies and procedures
  • attend weekly and monthly meetings
  • communicate group information and changes in a timely and accurate manner
  • entertain clients as appropriate
  • maintain proper phone etiquette
  • generate a positive atmosphere
  • coordinate all aspects of service including food and beverage requirements, timing of events, special guest attention, table setup, special requests, complimentary offerings, billing instructions, authorized signatures, and decor including floral requirements
