The Director of Operations will lead above-store leaders, including Area Directors, to cultivate operational excellence and uphold the company’s standards across multiple restaurant locations. The Director of Operations will be the strategic force behind the company’s operational success. This includes providing hands-on engagement with restaurant units and leadership teams, ensuring high standards in service and quality are consistently met. The role requires a self-motivated individual with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills who can adapt to change and identify innovative solutions to operational challenges. They will support the development and mentoring of management teams, fostering a culture that aligns with the unique values of the company and drives employee engagement and retention.
Financial oversight is another critical function of this role. The Director of Operations will manage the financial performance of all company restaurants, including budgeting, P&L analysis, and improving EBITDA outcomes. Collaboration with Area Directors to plan and implement marketing, training, and talent acquisition initiatives is also key to maintaining the company’s competitive edge. The role requires proficiency in various technology systems relevant to restaurant management and scheduling, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in operational processes.
Ideal candidates will bring at least five years of multi-unit management experience along with a track record of success in similar roles. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- College degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit management experience with a proven record of success
- Experience in an organization with clear career progression
- Strong knowledge and skills in analyzing profit and loss statements and overall financial performance of the company
- Proficiency in staffing with a track record of achieving results
- Familiarity with labor laws
- Preferred experience in local store marketing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint
- Experience with Posi Touch POS Compeat Restaurant 365 Hot Schedules 7Shifts and ability to adapt to new systems easily
Job Duties
- Engage with units and team leaders in a hands-on approach supporting above store leadership
- Hold all leadership accountable for upholding brand standards
- Mentor all positions within the organization to foster engagement and success ensuring availability for their development
- Support reinforce and align decisions with the unique culture of our company
- Assist Area Directors in delivering exceptional guest experiences at our restaurants
- Train and develop Area Directors manage career expectations for the management team and clearly communicate brand and company standards
- Understand define and execute the purpose requirements and desired results of all company programs
