Job Description

BRIDGE & TUNNEL RESTAURANT GROUP is a prominent company based in Denver, CO, known for its dynamic presence in the fast casual restaurant industry. The group operates multiple concepts including Rosenberg's, Famous Js, and BTRG Pastry, all located within 5 Points. The company is recognized for delivering high-quality food experiences and maintaining strong community engagement. With a focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, BRIDGE & TUNNEL RESTAURANT GROUP fosters a collaborative and vibrant work environment, making it a sought-after employer in the hospitality sector.

The Director of Operations role at BRIDGE & TUNNEL RESTAURANT GROUP is a full-time, benefit-eligible position that commands a salary of $90,000 per year. This leadership role is critical to the seamless operation of all 5 Points locations, including Rosenberg's, Famous Js, and BTRG Pastry. The Director of Operations is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and managing every aspect of these locations, working closely with the COO and Culinary Director to develop and implement operational SOPs, marketing strategies, financial plans, and facility management protocols.

This role requires a dynamic leader who takes full ownership of staffing needs across multiple sites, with authority over hiring and firing decisions for more than 10 full-time employees. Beyond staffing, the director provides supervision, mentorship, and training for management teams at each location, ensuring smooth operations and consistent performance. The position demands excellent communication skills to relay personnel and operational issues promptly to BTRG leadership, while also addressing customer concerns and complaints effectively to uphold the brand's reputation.

Financial stewardship is a core component of the role, involving management of costs related to cost of goods sold (COGs), maintenance, and staffing budgets. The Director of Operations is tasked with maintaining accurate inventory and par levels, supporting marketing and sales efforts, and creating strategic sales plans aimed at boosting profitability and uncovering new business opportunities. Attention to detail is paramount, especially in following operational procedures including cash handling, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.

Candidates seeking this role should bring a minimum of 2 years of restaurant management experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a basic working knowledge of Excel, Google Docs, and Word. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, works collaboratively with diverse teams, and delivers exceptional customer service. Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English, the physical capacity to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work weekends are preferred qualities that will enhance candidate suitability.

In addition to a competitive salary, BRIDGE & TUNNEL RESTAURANT GROUP offers an impressive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees, paid time off inclusive of the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, participation in the Colorado Secure Savings program, and Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI). Employees also enjoy unique perks such as free concert tickets, daily free meals, discounts at all BTRG concepts, free memberships to yoga and gym facilities, and regular employee gatherings and team-building activities. BRIDGE & TUNNEL RESTAURANT GROUP is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusive hiring practices, ensuring all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of background.
