Job Description
Marriott International is a leading global hospitality company renowned for its diverse portfolio of distinguished hotel brands and dedication to exceptional guest experiences. Among its prominent brands, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts stands as a beacon of comfort and community, offering guests a sense of belonging in more than 400 destinations worldwide. The Sheraton resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, located at 1500 Epcot Resorts Blvd, is a premier triplex resort nestled within the vibrant Disney ecosystem. This property encompasses 23 dining outlets, six pools, a spa, and over 500,000 square feet of meeting and event space, making it one of the most dynamic and high-volume resort marketing environments in North America.
The resort uniquely blends the brand excellence of Marriott with the magic of Disney, presenting a complex landscape for marketing strategies that require custom branding, continuous content creation, and multi-channel distribution. The marketing function here is integral to driving revenue growth, brand positioning, and market visibility across two iconic entertainment and hospitality ecosystems. As part of Marriott International's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, the Sheraton resort offers a full-time, management-level marketing position with a competitive annual salary range of $121,000 to $167,000, along with eligibility for performance bonuses.
The Marketing Director role at this resort is pivotal in orchestrating the development, production, and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that align with the property's revenue objectives and brand standards. This role demands a visionary leader who can collaborate closely with sales, revenue management, and executive leadership to craft and implement comprehensive marketing plans. The position involves spearheading multi-channel campaigns, managing internal and external communications, and ensuring cohesive integration of Marriott and Disney marketing efforts. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison with Disney's marketing, sales, social media, and public relations teams, facilitating strong partnerships and maximizing visibility across all relevant platforms.
The role encompasses overseeing digital strategies, creative production, and asset management, including photography and video content tailored to multiple audiences such as leisure guests, group clients, and event planners. Additionally, the Marketing Director leads the management of significant marketing budgets, forecasts, and performance analytics, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership and stakeholders. This includes proactive identification of incremental revenue opportunities through partnerships, tourism initiatives, and innovative marketing campaigns.
Furthermore, the role demands hands-on leadership in managing a diverse and high-performing marketing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality creative assets and maintaining brand integrity. The Marketing Director will also be responsible for coordinating a multitude of marketing systems and platforms spanning Marriott and Disney networks, CRM tools, digital signage, and experiential elements. By nurturing a collaborative environment, this leader ensures that marketing efforts not only elevate the resort's luxurious brand positioning but also enhance guest engagement and revenue streams through integrated, data-driven strategies.
Joining this team means becoming part of Marriott's global family, where associate diversity, professional growth, and inclusive culture are highly prized. The Marketing Director position at Sheraton Lake Buena Vista is an exceptional career opportunity for experienced marketing professionals who are passionate about blending creativity with strategy in a fast-paced, resort environment that is both prestigious and highly visible. Marriott International welcomes applicants who are eager to contribute to its mission of being 'The World's Gathering Place,' delivering meaningful guest experiences through innovative and thoughtful service.
