The Executive Housekeeper role at Tenaya Lodge presents an exciting leadership opportunity within this esteemed resort. This position is responsible for managing and leading the housekeeping team to ensure the entire resort is impeccably clean, sanitized, and prepared for guests. The role involves overseeing daily operations, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff performance. In addition, the Executive Housekeeper manages inventory, orders supplies, controls expenses and payroll, and ensures compliance with safety standards through the proper use of cleaning solvents and Material Safety Data Sheets. The candidate will also conduct inspections, implement corrective actions as needed, and occasionally operate company vehicles to support housekeeping functions across the property.

This role is ideal for a dynamic, detail-oriented individual with at least five years of supervisory experience in housekeeping operations. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of cleaning equipment and methods as well as an ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a competitive salary range between $70,304 and $88,400 per year, along with an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or an uncapped sales incentive plan. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • At least five years of experience managing a team
  • Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils dryers washers tools fixtures and cleaning solvents
  • Knowledge of how to use Material Safety Data Sheets for cleaning solvents
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage a team of housekeepers including hiring training scheduling and performance management and evaluation
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies order and distribute supplies and equipment

  • Monitor and control expenses and payroll while ensuring proper resources are in place
  • Conduct housekeeping inspections and take corrective action as needed
  • Ability to drive company vehicles throughout the property
