The Executive Housekeeper role at Tenaya Lodge is a leadership position pivotal to maintaining the resort’s high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will manage a dynamic team of housekeepers, overseeing the cleaning, sanitization, and readiness of all guest rooms and public areas. This fast-paced role requires strong organizational and management skills to handle staffing, training, scheduling, inspections, and inventory management. The Executive Housekeeper will ensure operational efficiency by monitoring expenses, controls, and payroll while maintaining the quality standards expected at a 4-diamond resort.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • minimum five years of experience managing a team
  • working knowledge of cleaning utensils, dryers, washers, tools, fixtures, and cleaning solvents
  • knowledge of how to use Material Safety Data Sheets for cleaning solvents
  • valid driver’s license
  • physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, carry, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • visual acuity sufficient to inspect cleanliness
  • no degree required
