The Director of Food and Beverage Outlets role at the Kessler Collection in Savannah, GA, is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within the property. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related training equivalent
  • minimum of 5 years experience in Front of House, fine dining Food and Beverage operations
  • 3 plus years of relevant work experience in similar scope and title
  • experience within luxury brand markets
  • ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • knowledge of database, internet, inventory, order processing, spreadsheet, and word processing software
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • ability to respond promptly to customer needs
  • knowledge of food and wine, beer, liquor, coffee, and mixed drinks
  • proficiency in POS and Open Table reservation systems
  • proficiency in payroll systems and labor management tools
  • ability to understand P&L statements and identify improvement opportunities
  • managerial food safety certification and TIPS training certification preferred or to be attained within 30 days

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the outlet’s service staff ensuring total guest experience is exceptional
  • monitor customer satisfaction through standardized feedback and guest interactions
  • participate in accurate beverage and retail inventories monthly
  • participate in accurate china, glass, and silverware inventories quarterly
  • assist in revenue and expense forecasting including all areas of Food and Beverage operations
  • supervises daily outlet operations and maintains sanitation standards
  • arrange daily staff meetings to discuss desirable changes and ensure smooth operation
  • handle internal matters to enhance hotel image and customer satisfaction
  • monitor and control payroll and other expenses
  • contribute information and recommendations to food and beverage organizational strategies
  • participate in weekly department head and event order meetings
  • continually improve guest satisfaction and financial performance
  • determine and implement training needs
  • ensure corrective actions for service improvement
  • interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel staff
  • ensure compliance with food and beverage policies and standards
  • maintain service and sanitation standards in restaurants, bars, Starbucks, and room service
  • display leadership in guest hospitality and customer service
  • perform other assigned duties as required
