Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business, or related field preferred
  • minimum 4 years of progressive event planning or hospitality experience
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to manage a team
  • knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
  • physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally
  • ability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
  • ability to work both indoors and outdoors

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • preferred degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, or business
  • minimum 4 years of progressive event planning experience
  • knowledge of accounting systems preferred
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Manage daily event planning functions
  • supervise event planning team
  • collaborate with sales and operations teams
  • assign events to planning staff
  • coordinate function space allocation
  • manage group room blocks
  • lead weekly event management meetings
  • oversee complex and high-profile events
  • develop catering menus
  • ensure staff training on safety and emergency procedures
  • gather and analyze guest feedback
  • resolve guest concerns
  • provide ongoing training and coaching to employees
  • cultivate strong vendor partnerships
  • negotiate pricing and service agreements
