Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business, or related field preferred
- minimum 4 years of progressive event planning or hospitality experience
- excellent communication skills
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to manage a team
- knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
- physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally
- ability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
- ability to work both indoors and outdoors
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- preferred degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, or business
- minimum 4 years of progressive event planning experience
- knowledge of accounting systems preferred
- excellent written and oral communication skills

- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Manage daily event planning functions
- supervise event planning team
- collaborate with sales and operations teams
- assign events to planning staff
- coordinate function space allocation
- manage group room blocks
- lead weekly event management meetings
- oversee complex and high-profile events
- develop catering menus
- ensure staff training on safety and emergency procedures
- gather and analyze guest feedback
- resolve guest concerns
- provide ongoing training and coaching to employees
- cultivate strong vendor partnerships
- negotiate pricing and service agreements
