The Director ensures that each institute is expertly organized to achieve its goals and meet business objectives, overseeing comprehensive event planning from conception to completion. A key aspect of this role involves analyzing the outcomes of each institute season to identify success factors and areas for improvement, presenting these insights in a clear, data-driven format that informs resource allocation and future planning.

The Director will be tasked with developing and maintaining an 18-month events calendar aligned with the organization’s strategic growth plan, carefully selecting city, state, and venue locations that best support Responsive Classroom’s educational mission. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in event planning or project management
- Experience managing multiple projects and timelines
- Strong analytical skills for data management and reporting
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to work on-site in Turners Falls, MA
- Ability to work full-time
- Proficiency in technology relevant to event management
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Adhere to the established timelines for planning Responsive Classroom Advertised Institutes
- Collect, manage and report on data to inform the Advertised Institute Location Plan
- Research draft recommendations for Advertised Institutes locations to city, state and venue options as required
- Finalize the Advertised Institutes calendar for dissemination and update regularly
- Provide regular and periodic reports on the progress of event planning
- Follow and update a detailed work plan and schedule for annual advertised institute planning
- Monitor the progress of each phase and adjust schedules to ensure on-time completion
- Maintain communication schedules to update staff and resolve planning issues
- Evaluate project outcomes and implement continuous improvements
- Oversee and direct booking of host-sites and event venues
- Communicate professionally with school host-sites and venue personnel
- Specify venue requirements to meet institute needs
- Manage relationships with host-sites and venues
- Maintain and update database of current and potential sites
- Oversee completion of agreements and conduct venue evaluations
- Organize venue files and update standard operating procedures
- Manage catering and vendor services
- Ensure technology availability and manage logistical services
- Liaise with school host-sites, venue representatives and staff for event coordination
- Manage event expenses to budget
- Oversee customer relations and provide solutions to meet customer needs
