Job Description
Our company is a leading global organization recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation across diverse industries, with a focus on delivering impactful solutions that drive business success. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment that encourages creativity, growth, and the pursuit of excellence. As an established leader in our field, we are dedicated to supporting our employees through continuous development opportunities and a culture that values integrity, professionalism, and a forward-thinking approach.
We are currently seeking a highly strategic and experienced Director of Event Operations for a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave. This role will be primarily remote but requires the candidate to attend on-site meetings in New York, NY, once every two weeks. The Director will join our Marketing organization and report directly to the Head of Global Event Management. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing the planning, development, and flawless execution of high-impact global events and meetings designed to reinforce company culture, elevate our brand presence, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate for this role is a solutions-oriented leader with deep expertise in event management, proficient in navigating senior-level stakeholder relationships with confidence and professionalism. This individual excels in fast-paced environments and can skillfully balance creativity with operational rigor. The Director will collaborate closely with multiple departments including Sales, Corporate Communications, PR, Product, and senior leadership to ensure that our events align with strategic goals and maintain the highest standards of execution.
This role demands comprehensive experience in managing a diverse portfolio of internal meetings, large-scale conferences, tradeshows, client hospitality programs, and virtual event experiences. The successful candidate will leverage strong vendor and partner management skills, overseeing every aspect from vendor negotiation to on-site event supervision to ensure smooth operations and attendee satisfaction. Competency in creating exceptional attendee experiences is key, managing everything from event registration, communications, gifting programs, and post-event analytics.
The Director of Event Operations will lead a multi-workstream program that involves not just the tactical and logistical planning of regional meetings, symposiums, product launches, and executive engagements but also the strategic execution of these events. Responsibilities will include managing event marketing timelines, coordinating collateral creation, invitation workflows, room block arrangements, and lead generation tools while driving continuous improvements in processes.
Expertise in virtual event platforms, particularly Cvent, is required, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to create polished, executive-ready presentations and reports. The role demands excellent analytical skills to measure event performance and utilize data-driven insights for ongoing enhancements. The ability to manage budgets meticulously and ensure timeline adherence is essential to maintain operational excellence.
