We are currently seeking a visionary Director of Catering & Events to join our dynamic team and elevate our event offerings to new heights. The ideal candidate will serve as the creative and strategic force behind all events hosted at our resort—from intimate beachfront weddings to large-scale corporate conferences and social gatherings. This is a full-time, senior leadership position offering a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, complemented by a generous bonus structure, relocation assistance, and temporary housing for candidates relocating to Oahu.

The Director of Catering & Events will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with the resort’s brand values, guest expectations, and revenue goals. This role requires a nuanced blend of leadership, creativity, operational expertise, and cultural sensitivity to ensure every event reflects the elegance and excellence synonymous with our resort. The successful candidate will oversee a skilled team of event coordinators, planners, and support staff, fostering an environment of inspiration, collaboration, and outstanding service.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as Director of Events in 5 Star FORBES rated or luxury property
  • Proven track record of planning and executing high-profile weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
