Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as Director of Events in 5 Star FORBES rated or luxury property
  • Proven track record of planning and executing high-profile weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies aligning with resort brand and revenue goals
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of event coordinators, planners, and support staff
  • Serve as primary liaison for high-profile clients ensuring their visions are accurately realized
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and partners
  • Manage event budgets for cost efficiency without compromising quality
  • Oversee all aspects of event setup, execution, and breakdown to guarantee flawless delivery
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas to enhance guest experiences
  • Collaborate with resort departments including F&B, marketing, and operations to ensure successful events
